Rainbow Lake Wilderness Posted by Hello

The family went hiking at Rainbow Lake Wilderness on Signal Mountain. It has a lot of bluffs, a few caves, a natural waterfall and a man-made waterfall. The sad news is that the government has recently taken notice and is making new trails out of concrete. Yuck!

About the concrete trails...wasn't there an article in the TFP on damage to trails in the Rainbow Lake area? It may have been several months, but damage from four-wheelers was cited as the primary cause of damage. The concreting of the paths may be a response to the problem. Too bad. The less intrusive trails and infrastructure are, the better the wildlife area.

I do not catch the TFP like I did the Chattanooga Times. I preferred their perspective and layouts. Plus I did not usualyy have to buy them. I read them at the station. Since I have been without a radio for a while, I am clueless about a lot of stuff that is going on. It's cool to have someone like you set me straight. Thanks Marvell.
