My Favorite Albums From the 60's

My Favorite Albums of 1969 Posted by Hello

The mid to late 1960's were the beginning of the emergence of the album as the criteria for judging an artist or group. My 1969 entries include Steppenwolf's Monster whosetitle track gave us the history of the millitary; King Crimson's In the Court of the Crimson King who took us to a new world, a world of talking wind, epitaphs, and crimson kings; The Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed, an album with their early concert tour-de-force Midnight Rambler and Gimme Shelter, and You Can't Always Get What You Want; Fleetwood Mac's bluesy Then Play Own, an album that combines the bands' jams with Peter Green singing Oh Well (A song that gave many radio djs panic attacks with its false endings) and Closing My Eyes.
