My Favorite Albums of 1967
Love's Forever Changes album is my favorite album of all time. It is an album that combines many musical styles and would later influence everyone from Lenny Kravitz to Led Zeppelin to the Moody Blues. The album is evenly divided between darkness and light and is my top soundtrack to life.
The Velvet Underground represented a consistently darker force and influenced many bands of different genres. It all depends on who their favorite member was; Lou Reed, John Cale, Nico?
The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's undoubtedly influenced the most bands and artists in the world. With this album, musicians realized that you could write a song about anything, and as long as it was artistic, it would sell. Too bad that is no longer true.
Hendrix's Axis Bold as Love took us to a world of UFO's, Dreams and the best phased song in history, Bold as Love.
